About the Artist

Karla Starr is a self-taught artist, born in 1967 in Prosser, Washington. Eventually, Karla and her family moved to Kansas and Karla began her music career as soon as she was able to hold a guitar. At the age of five, Karla was given a small red, white, and blue guitar and she never looked back. As a teen, she formed her first band, "Karla & The Wings of Country". Later, Karla was invited to record a song at Prince's Paisley Park Studio, in Minnesota. She has  been the opening act for national and international recording stars.

Although sidelined in 2003 from an automobile accident and a resultant traumatic brain injury, Karla has never stopped her singing and songwriting. Challenging in the beginning, her recovery has been steady and she continues to perform with the same soothing style and beautiful voice that makes her memorable. She now lives in Paragon, Indiana, near beautiful Brown County, with her special Jack Russell Terrier "Sunshine."
